Hi and welcome to Red Phoenix Designs. My name is Ashley Habedank and I grew up in a small town tucked away in the northern pinky of the mitten (Michigan). After finishing my associate’s degree in Visual Communications at Northwestern Michigan College (located in Traverse City), I ventured to Detroit, Michigan where I majored in art direction at the College for Creative Studies. After graduating with my bachelor’s degree, I left the city life to return to my northern roots of Traverse City. I have lived in Michigan all my life but recently my husband and I decided to create a new place to call home in Florida. We like adventure and life's too short to only live in one state all your life. That's what I am telling myself anyway.
My 10+ year career has been vast in the creative department (and beyond): I have built and art directed brand identities, helped design web pages, built and written email campaigns, designed booth displays (small and very large), managed over 30 national conferences (and the budgets associated with them), I have enjoyed many publication layout designs, assembled billboard campaigns, become a some-what Powerpoint template guru, art directed photo and video shoots (and even edited some video!), concepted and created 3D mailer campaigns, and in between the cracks I've been able to throw some of my illustrations (and most recently, photography) skills in the mix.
In my free time I enjoy the outdoors with my family, a good HIIT workout, finding a quiet place to read, play fetch with our never-tiring German shepherds (I have three so I'm never bored), I love to travel (so far my favorite place was Florence, Italy), and sometimes break out my sketch pad and Micron pens.
